What a gem of a museum that sit’s in the heart of New Haven, CT.  This is, by far, the most professional and well orchestrated museum that I’ve been in since visiting the Smithsonian.  This should come as no surprise as it’s owned/operated by Yale University and also the recipient of many substantial donations over the years.

You’ll find a very broad collection of all types of art under one roof throughout their 4 floors.  You’ll even see original works from such greats as Monet, Picasso, Rubens, Cezanne, Renoir, Degas and more!  It took Cheryl and I (2-1/2) hours to complete our tour and that’s without reading all the corresponding history for each piece of art work.  I tend to skim and then photograph that information along with the piece so I can sit in the comfort of my home and actually try to digest it at a later time.

You don’t have to be an art connoisseur to appreciate what Yale is offering you, free of charge I might add.  Take a stop by sometime.  When you’re done take a stroll around the perimeter of Yale’s historic campus then consider taking in a meal at one of New Haven’s fine downtown eateries.
