Soldiers and Sailors Monument, New Haven CT

The Soldiers and Sailors Monument, erected in 1887, overlooks the City of New Haven CT high on top of East Rock Park.

The monument was completed in 1887 and honors the residents of New Haven who gave their lives in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and the Civil War.

The statue is 112 feet high and sit’s atop the 366 ft. high summit of the park.
