Cheryl and I visited the Military Museum of Southern New England. The museum is primarily dedicated to WWI and WWII history. In addition there is a focus on special forces.
The inside has various collectibles, patches, weapons and uniforms. What I found most interesting was the good job they did putting together various “scenes” by using props, dummies and artifacts.
The front yard is chock full of tanks, anti-aircraft/tank guns, and military vehicles. On open turret day you can go inside these vehicles. Unfortunately it was raining during our visit. This made outdoor photography nearly impossible although I did snap a handful of photo’s using my pocket camera.
If military history interests you take the time to pay a visit to this museum. For more information and a video tour go to their website.
