It appears that it is still in the family and the tradition continues. It currently goes by the name Muddy Roots Farm. As you can clearly see the family has taken care of the barns all these years as they are in beautiful condition to this day. I’m sure it stems from a sense of pride.
At a time when farms are dying out all across CT, and have for years, it’s nice to see this barn hasn’t. Vegetable, poultry and livestock farming is tough work and not for everybody. However, the current crew have what it takes! All the best to them.
According to the Muddy Roots website it appears to be operated by Chris Wellington and Kirsten Marra.
Cheryl was alongside of me and photographed a beautiful hawk soaring above while I focused on the barn. It was photographed with a Sony A7RV, 61mp, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70 F2.8 GM II lens at 59mm in APS-C mode.
