This tractor and barn sat on property across from the Westfield Shopping Mall in Meriden, CT for years unattended. Target moved in and developed the land. The tractor remained for a few years at the entrance to Target but was demolished sometimes during 2012. I found this to be a rather interesting scene.

  1. awww… so cute. wonder if the developers saved it.

    • Just went by there and the barn still sits with the tractor in it despite the thriving Target Department store and parking lot a few yards away. Thanks for stopping by!

    • At journeysthrumylens we’re lovers of old barns and the history behind them. It’s our hope that they stand forever. However, if a barn must be demolished then repurposing the wood is far better than throwing it away. Thank you for visiting my site Mike. Have a nice day.

  3. Would it be possible to get a high resolution copy of the old tractor in the barn? I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee. Thanks!

    • Hi Gary,

I’ll have to do some digging into my archives to find that file. Generally older files are in storage. I’ll see what I come up with and let you know. However, I would think that it would be possible.

      Jay
