It was late August and Cheryl and I went over to the Brooksvale Park in Hamden CT to photograph this historic barn.  It was a joint effort as Cheryl framed this beautiful scene layout and I took the image.

The Brooksvale Barn was built at some time in the 1700’s making it one of the oldest barns I’ve ever photographed.  It sits on 500 acres of land most of which is wooded and used for trail walking.  The barn was part of a working farm, owned by the Brooks family, which was handed down from generation to generation.  The Town of Hamden started purchasing parcels of the land from the family in the mid 1950’s and by 1958 owned it all outright.  It was made into a public park which it is to this day.

Photographed on a tripod with a Sony A7RV, 62 MB, mirrorless camera and a Sony 24-70, f2.8, GMII lens at 33mm

1/13th, f16, ISO 100, Aperture Priority
