This large well maintained beauty of a barn and Silo sits quietly at the end of a long autumn New England day on Tranquility Rd., in Middlebury CT. I’d love to know when this was built. I suspect it’s older than it looks as, I’m sure, this was all farm land back in the day. It is maintained unusually well for an old barn. All the white trim around the windows and doors are updated and in perfect condition. There’s not a broken window pane anywhere which means they don’t critters nesting inside and ruining the interior. The wood shakes have been flawlessly maintained. The inside must be all post and beam. So many things you can do with a barn like this. Glad to see the owners have kept it so beautiful! I was fortunate enough to have my wife Cheryl come along for the ride today.
