Fish Family Farm Creamery
20 Dimock Ln
Bolton, Connecticut
From what I read on their facebook page this farm is a favorite of the locals. They sell their own milk and ice cream right on the premises in their farm store.
The milk truck reminded me of my youth where it was common place to see milk delivery in glass bottles. My Great Grandmother still got milk delivered right up until around 1975 when they stopped delivering. There would always be a layer of cream that rose to the top which she’d skim off and save for her coffee. They’d leave the milk inside the milk box which normally was kept outside on the front porch. Grandma’s milk box, as odd as it sounds, is one of the few things I have left from her when she passed. I cherish it because it reminds me of her and those much simpler times of the 60’s.
